What? I have to disagree---Resistance doesn't, Motorstorm doesn't, Lair doesn't look like it will, Final Fantasy 13 most likely doesn't-----what popular PS3 games do that? Legend of Zelda on the Wii encourages people to put on stupid looking clothes and go around the country side abusing animals with a sword---if you twist the meaning of the game---the only way popular PS3 games could be construed in that manner is if they were twisted in a similar manner--every system has shock rock games that try to use over-the-top amounts of violence or sexual innuendo to sell a few thousand more copies---but they have many more games with good storylines and gameplay---and, like I said, I can't think of any PS3 exclusive (not counting Ninja-Gaiden Sigma since it is half exclusive half remake) that truly embodies those negative elements.

Theres Lots of Games that enbodies negitive elements. Games like the much unneeded GTA4,a Veriaty of Porno and Hentai games,as well as more Unneeded GTA Clones. You just wait and see.

FF VS 13: nada

White Night Story: probably not

Lair: more than likely not

Heavenly Sword: only some people would think the heroine, Nariko, is dressed a little too loosely--but all private parts are covered wholly and I don't personally consider it a sexual costume and she is VERY well crafted from a personality standpoint, the focus is on her soul and character not her physical assets.

Metal Gear Solid 4--the only thing I could think of is that Snake can look at 'porno' mags (that have pics of women in bathing suits, from my understanding no full nudity) and leave them as bait for bad guys---which I still think is immature but that is one tiny element and, from my understanding, you don't have to do it at all to play the game.

Nobi Nobi Boy--nope (from maker of Katamari Damacy)

Calling All Cars: Nope

Haze: Nope

UT3--maybe, honestly don't know

Warhawk: Nope

Socom: nope

all their popular games are generally pretty good. GTA is in the minority, as illustrated by how it was the only negative game that many people can name--which is a direct result of Rockstar's shock rock marketing. Please don't label the PS3 as all bad over one title man!

I'd rather personally have a Wii, but a PS3 is a better prize. if anything, sell it, get a Wii and with cash to boot.

no 50 bucks, but I think $275 is fair. Everyone seems to think since its a wii, they shouldn't have to pay more than $200. They forget the cost of the other things. I'd go as low as $225 and thats really it.

LOL I agree with the cost statement---to get a lot of features you get out of the box with PS3 you end up paying a truckload with any console--so any game system you should expect 600 or more to get it the way you want it.Yeah, after Wii sports wore off I didn't touch mine either, but I will get it again for Smash Bros Brawl--that is the one game I want, maybe no-more-heroes but definately SSBB

haha, yeah, 275 is fair, and 225 is a deal (for the package. nose wiimotes and nunchucks are expensive, but then, accelerometers can usually rack up a cost).
Thing is, I just don't want it that much.

That money' will go into my car.
It's a strange feeling. I finished payments and I still feel the need to put money into it. force of habit.

The only reason I'd get a Wii is because it'd be something the family can enjoy. I almost never play a console alone for just the value of the game.
For some reason, I just can't take the game seriously if it's being played on a TV screen(unless the TV screen's a huge HD monitor for my computer) and all the controls are the buttons on your control.
That's why the PS3 has little to no allure for me. I don't see the point for spending 600/500 and 60 dollars per game for something I'd rarely ever touch. I'd sell the PS3 if I got my hands on it.
My gaming will still be PC centered, and I don't even get to do that often anymore.

and yes, I'll give that to the PS3. it does come with many features that others you have to buy for. Although, the most consoles still come under 600 fully equipped. The PS3 really is too good for it's time.
Too powerful for the developers to utilize correctly and not everybody needs the extra features (Blu-Ray movies are still out of my range)

LOL I am the exact opposite, I have a hard time playing games with a keyboard/mouse on a computer screen--at a PC I feel the urge to work---LOL I can really only play on a HD monitor now--HD is so much nicer---and now the PS3 upscales DVDs to HD and we can see the imperfections in Family Guy with the pencils they used to draw the lines--it is insane hehe but shows you how much of a bump-up HD is from SD!

I think the PS1 and PS2 were way ahead of their time too (Sony got heat for using CD's that they were 'way too much room' then took heat for DVDs for the same thing)--it seems they have done a lot to advance the console industry over the past decade because they have the guts to release a higher end machine---honestly, what I see of Microsoft's attitude is, "How can we beat Sony?" when, if they thought like, "How can we advance the industry?" success would fall into their lap more because they would be thinking like gamers as opposed to competitive business men.

I'm not exactly slumming either, I live in a middle class suburban area. People are opting for the 360 because it has solid technology at a lower price.

I'm actually a bit afraid that the ps3 is going to eventually go the way of the DreamCast. Thats not to say there won't be a ps4 or something though, as Sony's consoles have experienced international success.
Speaking of which, how is the ps3 doing around the world? I know the ps2 was the only real global success in the last generation, with the xbox generally shunned and confined to the States and some of Europe.
