My Apology – Xian_Lee

Some time back, there had been a bit of a pathetic falling out here, primarily between ArchAngel and I, and, while I don't know what damage I had done here, I want to apologize for what I had done.

Primarily, my apology goes to Arch, for I don't know who else I harmed in the process.

Above all, I'm sorry about making such a big deal out of things. It's crazy, and hard to believe, but I'm a guy, too. At the end of things, I understood you better, but I pushed on anyway, I guess. Honestly, I can't remember all the details, and I'd rather not be reminded of them.

The bottom line is that I'm sorry for the disturbance I caused, and especially for the trouble I caused you, Arch.

Can you forgive me?

If anyone wants to respond, trash talk, whatever, I deserve it. I'll keep an eye on this thread. That being said, I'm not really coming back to CCN. I'm moving into the Theology field, and getting away from the technology realm. I just feel bad for what I've done and want to try and right my wrongs.

If there is some way I can atone for my sins, please let me know.

Oh, and Arch, I think you should know that "Moira's" signature that offended you was actually my creation. I thought it would be funny and gain her some nerd points, but it seemed to have hurt you, and for that I'm also sorry.

To all others that I've harmed in my destructive path, I apologize sincerely. I wish I could undo what I've done, but I can't (dratted undo button is too limited); I can only try to make right what I've made wrong.

Hey man, good to see you again. Just wondering though (since you're moving into Theology) if you knew what the first 'C' in CCN stood for. :P
A fair amount of the people here aren't really programmers but are still Christians. I don't see why you need to leave if you're not going to be in technology anymore, thats all.

Hahaha. Thanks, JesterMax; I missed the first part of the logo in the top frame that says Christian with a cross next to it.

Sticking around is more about a matter of time control. I'm obsessive by nature, and being a mod/admin on another forum built up forum-obsession habits that I'm still trying to break. Once I hit the Theology studies full time (three weeks from now), I don't want to be spending all of my time on forums when I should be studying. Personal issue more than anything.

I guess I should have clarified that earlier, but it's been clarified now.

Xian, don't even sweat it. Some harsh things been thrown back and forth between us, and it's in the past.
as for Moira's signature, I was less offended, more taken off guard. I didn't know she was SigInt, and when she got offended by what I said, I thought it was out of place. It's really not that bad of a sig and it's fine among friends.

Jester's right, tho. We're as much Christians here as Coders, so I hope you can stay (or atleast come back to CCGR)

Thanks, Arch. I'm glad to know that we can both put the past in the past.

I have been a jerk, and I don't mean to try and sweep that under the rug. That being said, I have missed this community considerably (CCGR's too), but I've got to be working on that whole self-control thing. So long as there are no real hard feelings, I would like to hang around, but I run into that whole "perfect abstinence is easier than perfect moderation" issue.

We'll see how things play out. Still, thank you for your forgiveness, Arch; it means a lot to me.

Welcome back!

Yeah, I'm with Jester, just because you don't code, doesn't mean you can stick around. I mean, look at me, I'm no coder.

InsanePoet, you've got coding skill. Don't sell yourself short, kid. Thanks for the welcome, but I don't know how much I'll be around.

Guts? Uhm. If I didn't man up, I would have to live with this tormenting me until I manned up, so this is really the easy way out for me. Thanks for the props.

Uh. Thanks again for the props (I'm laughing, InsanePoet), but keep in mind that I'm the one that screwed up and that Arch is more deserving of the props for forgiving when he didn't have to. I did what had to be done, but Arch did what didn't have to be done.

If you had offended me, alls clear, you're forgiven. Not that there was anything to be forgiven, but you're fine by me. I'll just echo what everybody else said, "props, you can still hang, ext."

Hmm. This could get expensive. Some things are worth the cost, though, and a little financial expenditure for relationship rebuilding isn't that costly.

sometimes we all do the things that we should not do.

and

other times we don't do the things that we should do.

wretched man that I am.

The earch is full of dumb creatures and just like in the animal kingdom, we are also driven by our emotions and sometimes by un-seen powers.

For the only real smart and all-knowing person is only GOD Himself.

Only the sacrifice of God and the cross can save us all from our dumb selves...

The Starbucks is going to get expensive, I see.

Thanks for the welcomes. Thanks Randall for the reminder.

Wretched man that I am, indeed.
