that was a trap! i went in thinking i was pro because i do this for a living now.... and it was classic ASP :P i do ASP.NET 2.0. and it turns out they've made some extreme changes since standard ASP, lol. So i ended up getting 10/20 because i had to guess basically half of it. |

LOL, no trap intended! Changes to ASP? That's the same ol' ASP I've used for 7 years. Btw...how is it different from ASP.NET? I've never really looked into it... |

well i don't know much about normal ASP, but i've had to retrofit a lot of code here. The server-side code in the pages is don't using VB.NET or C# (C#!!!) and the client-side code is javascript but you can use whichever language you want. All that about .inc and global files has been stripped away as far as i know. The pages themselves are deployed as-is and not compiled into a DLL file (from what i understand, ASP does that?). Which means you can change a file and it'll update IIS instantly ala Tomcat. Visual web developer is free and has it's own instance of IIS so i'd suggest taking a browse  it's pretty neat and i don't even like web dev, lol. Try a few tutorials from the ASP.NET site as well to get a feel for the power behind it. |
