i've noticed now that i surf CCN way too much now . not that that's a bad thing but i'm at work right now and i keep distracting myself waiting for posts and responding to everything, not to mention that it must get annoying for everyone else. Anyways, i think i've become addicted to this forum again (i have been before). Theres something about the fact that what i say is heard by anything that reads the post; its basically a gaurantee that someone else will hear what i have to say. i really don't want to become the person that just posts to hear himself talk, thats not who i am. Anyways, just thought i'd share my thoughts on this. I'm going to try and cut back on posting if i can, but i might need "the patch" or "the gum" |

Where can you find the gum? I haven't been able to get it anywhere. The patch doesn't work too well, either. *joins CCN Addicts Anonymous...* |

actually it helps if you distract yourself with something else.... for example, i watched Mad Max last night (pointless movie) and i posted less then usual then i moved on to Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior and it got more more interesting but also more pointless... |

Good idea. I wish I still had my MacGyver DVDs... no movies to watch - I can't break free of CCN! |

I dunno', D -- I kind of like the relatively low post frequency. Perhaps it's semantics, but I like quality over quantity. Plus you're a mod, which just gets you extra prop points. |

quote: LOL I take offense to that (LOLJK) Josh LOL I think half the fun of CCN is that it is a gaming site where most of the fanboys are Jesus fanboys as opposed to all Sony or all MS, so crap flame arguments are fewer and farther apart---LOL I am sure someone could conjure up a T-Shirt idea with something along those lines----but it shocks me when I look at forums like GameSpot (they have forums for every one of their news articles) and it seems every article is a chance to get offended and fight--I don't understand people who work like that I like chatting with people more than fighting, but apparantly lots of people use the internet as the stage for their own personal soap opera LOL ------------------ |
Lava Member Posts: 1905 From: Registered: 01-26-2005 |
Haha, I totally agree with you Zookey! Even if I go on a forum of one game, people still get uptight, say I exaggeriate or I get one little detail wrong. It's crazy. ------------------ |

I used to post at least once every day, and that's sort of an understatement. then I got on every day. posting when I wanted to. now it's only the weekends, and I don't always post. it'll subside, don't worry. I was addicted too. just find other things to do, and eventually it will fade. ------------------ |

I am not addicted but I should post less despite most people that are here only for 1 year have more posts than me. Another site I only posted 30 times and I was the most famous person on the site and some people joined because of me and another copied my name. Insanepoet seem to be the same in posts and is on 6 months earlier than me. But most people I see that are here 1 or 2 years after me have the same well over 2 times more posts than me which that seems a bit too much. I think I posted 3-8 times more on reply than actual posts, since I deal with people mostly that are with quantity than quality. If you want a rule people should post something meaningful to say than just open their mouths all the time. I don’t even reply to most peoples posts unless they really need some tips like this one. Don't people have things to do? Do people loose ideas in what to code? If you have then I’ll give you work to do lol. Plenty of things can be made. Maybe the general forum should be close and then people might post more meaningful things? Remember Quality not Quantity. ------------------ |

Pshh, that's no fun Warsong. yea, I don't post nearly as much, it usually takes a good topic to get me to post now, cus I'm pretty busy. I only check back every once in a while. College is keeping me pretty busy especially kappa Psi, the professional pharmacy fraternity I'm in. I don't keep track of my posts, heh. I used to post like 8 times a day, but not any more heh. ------------------ Blind belief is dangerous. - Kenyan Proverb Computers are useless. They can only give you answers. - Pablo Picasso |
