I haven't coded in so long. cuz of stupid restrictions involving computer access being limited to weekends, I haven't had time. so now when I sit down to code, it's hard. I can't even think of anything to code. one, it's been forever. 2 my brain is fried from getting up at 6 every day and going off to take a test. or 2. or 3. or 4. cuz finals were this week and last week. and yesterday i took four. one in each of all of my four classes I had yesterday. cuz I was absent for 2 of them. so I had to retake them on the same day as my other finals.

so I've been retrying to code my scripting language. I lost it when my pc stopped working. I had a lot done. it was able to print and store variables, at least. but now it's gone and I can't remember half of it. so now I must either totally rethink it, which I can't seem to do, or find something else to code. but no ideas arise. also I can't remember barely anything about Python. so I'm going to re-read a python tutorial. well, gotta go do that.

yeah I do believe they are still engaged.

well Laz I was coding it with Python. it may not be the best way to do it, but it has easy file I/O and it can do the whole thing with modules, plus I wanted to code something in Python that wasn't some piddly little script.

I haven't done any "real" programming in almost 2 months. I've tweaked Bible Dave a bit but that's it. I want to get a new computer (a laptop) so I'm working and playing games and messing with Linux distros and programs so that I can write about them. At least I'm doing something worthwhile.

My goals for... soon.. are to get into 3D and GUI proramming. I bought a new video card, but it crashes or locks up Windows and Linux frequently when I mess with 3D games so I'm kinda disapointed (and that's one reason why I want a laptop.. less hardware upgrade troubles, just upgrade the entire computer )

i haven't had time to do anything, and when i did have time to sit down and do something the computer didn't work...and i couldn't fix it because i didn't have any needle-nose pliers, but i used tweezers instead(the hard drive and 2 pins kind of smashed out on it's molex connecter). anywho...

@cpufreak...2 questions.
1. do you get paid to write those articles(or at least for some of them).
2. how would someone go about doing that?(i've been thinking about this for a week or two).

Ugh. I hated that problem. Glad I switched to SATA. No pins whatsoever.

Yes I get paid for all of them.

Depends on who you want to write for. Newsforge like quick articles the get to the point in about 900 words. (http://www.newsforge.com/write.tmpl)

Linux forums.org likes long articles that are over 1500 words. (http://www.linuxforums.org/writing_for_linux_forums.html)

thanks for the links. my wife told me to install linux on her computer, as long as she can listen to her music. so i might be diving head first into it. right now i don't have anywhere near enough linux knowledge to right anything. guess i'll have to get to work now.
