Would anyone like to mention their favorite browser and why they like it?

I love Opera 9. I was converted to Opera from Konqueror a week ago. My favorite features are:
* The built in mouse gestures
* The built in RSS feed agregator
* The built in email program
* The built in Bittorrent client
* The built in Download manager
* The incredible integration with KDE and the very good looks on both Linux and Windows
* It's speed.
* It's built in image blocker
* Large database of plugins

I love Opera too. Been using it for about 6 months or so.

Still on v8.54 since I tried v.9 and it had changed some things I liked - so I went back to the older version.

"And so at last the beast fell and the unbelievers rejoiced. But all was not lost, for from the ash rose a great bird. The bird gazed down upon the unbelievers and cast fire and thunder upon them. For the beast had been reborn with its strength renewed, and the followers of Mammon cowered in horror."

Ah - an infidel.

The Book of Opera, page 2.

"The unbelievers among the People of the Mozilla, and the pagans, resent that any blessing should have been sent down to you from your Lord Opera."
Page 5.
"Slay them wherever you find them. Drive them out of the places from which they drove you. Idolatry is worse than carnage. . . . if they attack you put them to the sword. Thus shall the unbelievers be rewarded: but if they desist, Opera is forgiving and merciful. Fight against them until idolatry is no more and Opera's religion reigns supreme. But if they desist, fight none except the evil-doers"

...or maybe that's the Koran. I forget.

Firefox. Tried Opera but I think it was the sizing and some placement of the skins which had me back to firefox. It's nice though. I especially liked the auto-remember if you closed down the browser w/ open tabs.

Oh, am I going to start a controversy . . .

I like . . .

Internet Explorer, now let me explain my self. I do alot of web design, and since still >80% of the world still uses it, I better too, just to make sure my designs look real good and not all over the place. I don't like IE 7 at all, too slow to load up and if I wanted tabbed browsing I would use firefox. Too many websites don't get web accessability and make you use IE, and I just am not ready to give up being able to go where I want to go!

For everyday casual browsing, Firefox is my favorite, but still like SYF for the kids! (Personal reasons ha ha)

Let the games begin!

I hate Internet Explorer. So few features... so hard to use(compared to Opera)... so full of bugs and security leaks...

And I've used it so much in the past few years it's unbelievable.

I use Firefox, just because IE is kinda slow and not that good with tabbed browsing, and I think Firefox is more secure. Also Firefox has a nicer look IMO.

Firefox. IE is too slow, too many bugs and security problems. Like this one. Go to this link (in IE) AND YOU WILL BE FOOLED.. Will not work in Firefox or Opera or any others.

IE sucks. Firefox rools. Opera is ok but I like Firefox better.

if firefox is more secure i would guess it's because the malicious people out there want to hit the most people, and since ie is the browser of most of the web surfers out there then they're going to go after ie. i have a similar theory about linux and windows...but that's just opinion, and for another thread.
oh..my vote is for ie for compatibility. ie 6 to be exact, ms messed up ie when they tried to make it look like something that belongs on a mac. firefox does tabbed browsing way better.

IE is crap. don't even give us that crap about people going after the most peoples. the whole browser sucks. its ugly, its slow, it has lame page not found pages, and it even copies off of other, better, coolr, browsers.

and yes i just spelled cooler c-o-o-l-r. cuz its coolr.

compatibility? IE only works on Windows.

Linux can't even be like, hit by viruses. there's no crappy registry to screw with and you have to run everything yourself and plus it's like really secure. plus only smarter people can use it. so all the stupid cd tray cup holder peoples aren't able to use it yet. cuz they're stupid. and windows is stupid too. it's like saying special ed classes are better cuz anybody can pass them. not that special ed classes are stupid, or special ed people are dumb (some of them just are) but the class is easier. so anybody could pass it. or, most anybody.

Oh there are a few virii or malware that can break into Linux. Part of the difference though is that the door for the (most anyways) malware to exploit has to be installed as part of an un-tweaked package rather than existing by default. Or purposefully opened for some other reason.
