Alright, I've been waiting on 2 friends looking for a Bethlehem image that I can mess with and use in my game. I plan on selling this game for profit, so I want to do this right. One of them has found something, but isn't very skilled in use of the computer so doesn't know how to get the image to her computer. I need a good picture of old/new bethlehem. I plan on shading this purple, and using that as the background for the game menu's. ------------------ |

Nice view, have you looked at the size? I need 1024x768. There is no way that stretching that would make it look realistic, It looks nice, but isn't going to cut it. Would gimpshop be able to create a purple shade to that? I know Kodak Easyshare can create any color shade you just have to figure out how. Its not very easy either. ------------------ |

What did they say about using the image? ------------------ |

There doesn't seem to be a license - the picture was taken by some college guy who was vacationing somewhere in Israel. |

I'm also thinking of this for the privacy of the man. I wouldn't want my picture taken. I've found this picture, but don't know what to do as for getting permissions. BTW, I'm not that good of a photographer. Edit: Arg! I just found it wasn't a good size. here's another one. ------------------ [This message has been edited by Mene-Mene (edited December 18, 2006).] |

If you don't take the picture it would always be good to get permission. Always. Or at least check with a lawyer who operates in that arena. To change color in GIMP you can: You can get to same location of Layer > Color by instead going Tools > Color Tools. It's been years since I used photoshop but I am positive there are similar functions w/ similar names. Color Balance is also a term that might be used. |
