 		Would you be surprised to find Windows 95 at 10$ on EBay? Autodesk has released version 9 for 3D Studio Max not long ago. Version 6 is a piece if antiquity at this point.

P.S Don't use special characters in your post title since it will prevent others from replying. It's a bug with CCN.

 		All of these sites are repackaged crack software sites:

How these sites operate. They buy a domain name with oem usually in it. Then they send out spam until that site hits a blacklist or two or three. Then they place 'the download' site on it and register another domain. Notice that the 2 version ago software you want is only $20 less than the newest version? I have been burned personally by this company. They are usually based in china or another country where you cannot get money back if you loose it.

 		Best way I have found is Ebay. I have bought archaic software and not had much problem (bought win NT for a project)

 		There is no legitimate way to get an old copy of 3dsmax as far as autodesk is concerned. owners of old versions of 3dsmax are not allowed to sell their copy without autodesks express permission, which they won't give, and they do not sell old versions of their software. As soon as they make a new version all support and vending of the old version ceases. It's a sad thing when a terrible company has such a good product.
