Argh, I can't find my WEP key! I wrote it down somewhere, but now it is lost! The only two devices that have it are a Windows XP Pro. laptop and a NDS and they won't cough it up for me. Any program I can get so I can get my WEP key back. Note: Don't EVER use an auto generated WEP key... ------------------ |

Is this for your own wireless router? If so, you should log into your router administration software. Head over to http://192.168.0.1 and log in using your username and password. If you are not sure what it is, I believe Netgear defaults to admin/1234, but I can't remember for sure. And I have no idea of the default user/pass for other manufacturers. Once in your administrator software, you should have some type of wireless options page. The WEP key should be somewhere on there. If not, keep hunting around. If all fails, you may need to reset your router to factory defaults and start all over again. [This message has been edited by ssquared (edited May 19, 2006).] |

It will be easiest to reset your router. I've had this happen to me before... ------------------ |

there should be a little button on your router. It will be inset though, and you may have to use a pen or something to push it. ------------------ |
