Hey everyone,

It's been a while since I've posted on here. Things have been really busy with work and family and such. Anyways, I've recently downloaded Python 2.4.2, as well as the latest Pygame.org build and Panda3D 1.1.0. I've been reading through some of the tutorials from their sites too but I've come to ask...

What program should I use to write my .py files? Does anyone out there have a prefered editor? I use DevC++ for my C++ stuff, ColdFusion Studio 5 for my HTML, ASP and ColdFusion stuff, but neither of these have color coding and what-not for Python.

Any suggestions?

Hi,
I use jEdit not just for python because it has syntax higlighting for many other languages as well. Plus some really useful plugins.

Wow, that one looks nice. I tried to download it but the windows installer doesn't work and the java-based one gives an error saying corrupt jarfile. Any ideas?

I uninstalled JAVA, downloaded the latest SDK and redownloaded the jedit jar install file from a different mirror and everything worked. I'll check it out and see how it works. Thanks again!

I use Eric... IDLE is horrible for debugging.
