There are only 10 people who post on threads like this one -- I think there are a lot more people who lurk and who post occasionally on topics that are relevant to Christian game development. The tough thing that I'm running into right now is sorting out the off-topic posts from the relevant posts -- it would be nice if all of these general discussion posts could be kept from showing up on the main page (the way the politics forum doesn't show up on the main page) or something like that to keep the chitchat from flooding out the on-topic discussion. Thats a good idea. I think I may "abuse" this forum to some extent. I go 4 other forums regularly, and on all of those, things stay on topic. Sometimes I treat this place as a chatroom. ------------------ |

It would be nice if people could still start their own off-topic threads (as opposed to having to post it all in the #ccn-chatzone thread) -- perhaps we should ask one of the moderators for a chitchat section whose threads don't show up in the main bar on the front page? I guess that's sortof what the "General Chat" section is -- not everyone uses the categories appropriately though. Yeah, I dunno'. I'm not a moderator, and I'm not sure what the mods have planned for this board. --clint |
