well, I just signed up for a "simulation environment programing" certificate at the local tech college. Basicly, its not a full program but its kind of like the core of what they hope will become a full program. I'm starting out next week with two classes, programing concepts and C++ then next semester they will be doing a 3d modeling class in 3d studio max and after that a final cap stone class to tie it all toghether. So.. in a few months, if everything goes well, I should be able to start some basic coding and what not, in a year or so I might be able to start putting together some 3D stuff. Cross your fingers everyone and prayer would be appreciated... I'm not worried about passing the classes or anything, but I would like to be able to assimilate it all pretty fast and have it "click" if you know what I mean. ------------------ |

That's great, Josh! So glad to hear it -- I'm kind of jealous, I would really like to do a similar thing right now (taking classes like that). So very cool! |

I'm looking forward to it I was excited but I'm even more so now. I just finished talking with my brother (who is teaching the programing concepts class, and also will be teaching the 3D modeling class) and he told me about some of the details of the course. The programing concepts class will be done in Perl (I wasn't sure what this class would be about) and the final captsone class is going to be done using Torque engine to integrate the C programing (possibly using C#) with the 3D modeling and animation. ------------------ |

nah, it's the system analyists that have the real brains. programmers just flesh out what they have conceived. ------------------ |
