Guess what? I got a tour of the Case College game course(apparently game out last fall.) ( Didn't se any sign but it's releated to Case Western Reserve or something like that?)

How do you ask? It's a long story, but simply put, my grandfather has "connections".

So. The course is where the students make a game. You get the programmers, the artist, the music people, etc. The teacher teaches these students DarkBASIC Pro. Note that these students have computer science degrees and such.

Anyway, about the lab itself. The first main room is a gamers and devolpers dream: 22 top-of-the-line alienware computers with huge monitors and great graphics card, the works.. Has some games installed with programming tools such as drawing tools and programming languages.(Including Blitz3D and Python)

Next room. A console room. They have a huge screen, about the size a regualer room wall. They have about 6 Xbox 360's 3 Nintendo Gamecubes, and 6 PS2s. All hooked up to their internet, of course.

Next, the "immersion" room. This is where things get interesting. You have good amount of a screen, with surround sound. has rumble pack for the chair i nthe room. Images are 3D with the $48,000 projector and glasses they got. Has a computer better than the one's mentioned earlier and a xbox 360 in that room. You can turn off the lights and play any game. I did, Call of Duty 2 on xbox 360, and, amazingly, they also had UT2004 there.

Next room. The music and sound editing room. Just a great place for musicians took make some music, with some sound editing programs. They did have these DDR pads in the corner for some reason...

Next, one of my favorite rooms. The Vitual Reality Room. They had the glasses, gloves, and such. Also they had this cool likemotor.. erm... rod shaped thing that was hooked up to the computer. I tested it out. The demo he showed me was a die in the cube, which you have a dot to control. You can move the dot around in 3d space, grab onto the die and fling it. It die actually had weight so when you troe to move the rod upwards, you felt a heavy weight sensation throguh your had. When you touched the all, it felt like you were rubbing the wall. It's better than it sounds, trust me.

Last room, storage room. Soon to be for virtual medical stuff. They also had their own server set up in that room.

I defiantly want to take the course he's going to offer for "younger" kids.
