No, never heard of it. I searched microsoft but can't find a download. Do you know where one is?

Haven't heard much about it. I *DO* like Linux's commandline. So if they take some lessons from Linux, I might like it. Otherwise, I probably won't.

its only beta at the moment

they have learnt from unix, actually the architect and most of the team has a huge unix background, as well as systems like vms etc.. it took ages for MS in general to "click" to its potential, but they have now..

its like a mix of Bash/ KSH / Perl / Ruby, and not to mention C#, its made in C# with full access to the dotnet framework and dotnet objects, one of the biggest differences is that in piping, you asren't just piping a stream of text (text buffer), but rather full objects.. thsu allowing next things on the pipe to treat the thing as an object.. this makes it really powerful... i may post a few examples here in coming days.. but finally windows is getting a decent command line , YAY!

sign up for the MS beta, it will take about 24 - 48 hours before you can download it..
http://beta.microsoft.com guestID mshPDC (i think )
it requires dotnetframe version 2.0 beta which is about 25 meg download
and it itself is about a 4 meg download..

at this link is a nice little video demonstrating some of itsfeatures
