that rocks! i'm sure he gave a good witness to the band before leaving, which is great, because i'm sure not very many Christians have had the chance to witness to the members of the band. of course i don't know their close friends and family either, so they might be loaded with Christians who are constantly praying for them and witnessing to them. i hope brian's music is good, cause i might have found some more Christian rock to listen to ...thanks for sharing the good news of somebody coming to accept Christ as their saviour. ------------------ www.gfa.org - Gospel for Asia www.persecution.com - Voice of the Martyrs |

I think if he is "working on a cd but says its not going to be a christian cd... " means he does not want to become a "Christian Music" artist, ala DC Talk, M.W.Smith, etc, but wants to stay doing normal secular rock music. Great! One of the last things we need is more Christian Culturey stuff, and I personally don't believe for him to start making "CCM" records would be good at all. To me it is very sad that there is such a big "Christian" industry, with "Christian" CDs, "Christian" books, "Christian" t-shirts, "Christian" pillow-cases, "Christian" air-conditioners, "Christian" wordprocessors and so on. We are supposed to be in the world, but not of it. Not in a whole little world of our own. Not that I have anything against music made by Christians, or worship music, or using Christian themes in music or whatever, but anyway... Dan ------------------ |

kinda like P.O.D. not wanting to be a "Christian" band, critizing Dove Awards for creating this "christian" subculture instead of going out and reaching the world. ------------------ |
