With every thing going on right now with all the loss of life from the horrible Tsunami. It's hard to be happy over the New Years eve and the start of the new year. Specially when you know a couple people that live in that region and havent heard from them yet. I was just wondering if any one here has any family or know's people who was in or lives in that region and also if anyone is helping by donating to the relief effort? I have donated to the relief effort. My money is going through the Red Cross and would also love to give blood. But havent had a chance to go over and give blood yet. ------------------ |

I'm sorry to hear that you havn't heard from them yet. I'll be praying for their safety. It is a staggering number thus far, any relief we can give them would be the right thing to do. ------------------ |

There are two pastor's in our conference that came from that area. They have not heard anything about their family. My family has been in prayer for the people who don't have anything left. |

There is a family from our church serving as missionaries in Jakarta, Indonesia where the earthquake originated from. They are okay, but they said there were enormous amounts of damages all around them. I will be praying for your friends! In case you are wondering, you can donate money through Google.com ------------------ [This message has been edited by mellonamin (edited January 04, 2005).] |

I have already donated to the American Red Cross Of America Tsunami Relief effort. I give a good part of my last paycheck to them to help out people that truly need it. I'm also part of a Gaming Community that is running a cherity drive. We're collecting in game gold and ebaying to other players and with the money we get from ebay for teh sales are going to go to Red Cross for the relief effort. We have had national coverage not only in gamming magazines but also on MSNBC. I was just wondering if anyone here knew people over there, which some of y'all have. And if anyone donated to help out with the relief effort. ------------------ |

that gaming thing is a cool idea .i never would've even thought of doing something like that, using y'alls talents to do good works, that's just sweet!(the 'dude where's my car?' version of sweet, not the girly "ohhh, that' so sweet!...just to clarify that) ------------------ www.gfa.org - Gospel for Asia www.persecution.com - Voice of the Martyrs |
