it's the lyrics that matter, or if it's instrumental i reckon it would matter the intent of the music(?). now i don't see how people screaming into a microphone(i like heavy stuff) and you really can't understand them, and talking about stabbing you in the back with their love and something about stuff oozing out of your skull can be Christian. i like stuff like skillet, jonah33, and well i can't think of any other heavy Christian bands at the moment. i'm not bashing rock, cause what could be cooler than rockin' out for God's glory? anywho..the only sounds i don't like is the metal/rock that's really fast paced and the singers(and often musicians) have no talent, and it really just sounds like noise. i also don't like polka too much...everything else i listen to(some more than others). ------------------ www.gfa.org - Gospel for Asia www.persecution.com - Voice of the Martyrs [This message has been edited by bennythebear (edited November 29, 2004).] |

I'm actually starting to leave the metal scene. but still, you can't say Metal artists are not talented. some are and some aren't. same with other genres. except pop. fine.. yes, pop artists can be talented too.. i guess. Some girls are just wierd. Im a freshman in HS, so bear with me u old geezers. I dont mean like cooties and stuff. I mean like, a guy will um.. shall we say..."flirt" with them and they call him a perv. Then they go pop in a petey pablo cd and listen to him say " Do ya want it from tha back with yer head in the pillow, so u can scream as loud as you want?!" They play games too. girls who play games are not worth the time. no more of this " ill lead him on" or " let's se what he'll do" or " i dare u to ask him out" my list of most cliche break up lines ( ive used a few) 1) Its not you! I think it is partly do with their hearts and motives. A christian band could write a secular song and that wouldn't be bad. But yeh lyrics do play a main part. --D-SIPL ------------------ |

NO not the musical style. That dont have nothing but the flow of the song. The lyrical content is what i'm basically getting at. Seen lryics for a christian rapper who raps about his past. He was a gang member and slung coca and killed people. Yet you can pick up any other hard core rap cd and hear the same things. So what's the difference? Like ICP or another underground artist called Q Strange. Their music may be dark and not for everybody. Yet if you sit and listen to some of their songs. You know what that song is about, yet they sling it a way a lot of people dont like. ------------------ |
