flu jab? is it worth bothering? – c h i e f y

c h i e f y Member Posts: 415 From: Surrey, United Kingdom Registered: 03-07-2002	I went for my flu jab today with the missus we arrived at 1215pm at the Health centre - YEP! It's a Saturday and the waiting room was PACKED OUT we waited for 10 minutes before being called but it wasn't for the jab, it was for another smaller waiting room ANOTHER 10 minutes, we get called through to an even smaller waiting room - WHAT A PROCESS but then - a total of 25 minutes later finally the jab, a LOT LESS PAINFUL than I was expecting, it was nothing in fact, just a scratch and the nurse said that they were doing 400 every Saturday anybody else getting the jab? we heard it cost £25 but we were not charged ------------------ what do we have to offer? mum's creme deMenthe
Simon_Templar Member Posts: 330 From: Eau Claire, WI USA Registered: 10-25-2004	flu shots are pretty hit or miss. about 1/3 of the time its ineffective because the flu mutates too much so the antibodies don't work. About another 1/3 of the time you actually get the flu from the shot (albeit a usualy less intense version). ------------------ -- ignorance can be educated, immaturity can be grown out of, and drunkeness can be sobered, but stupid lasts forever.
