If something could be setup on an established IRC network, would anyone be interested in using it? The intent behind this idea is to open a place for members and visitors alike to chat more directly with one another but not at all to take the place of these forums. Matt |

i use to use dalnet a lot, but that was before i got saved...you know, back when they allowed fserves, "warez"...but i'm pretty sure now you can't have excessive file sharing going on. i say go with one that is easy to set up and and keep going. also one where people can register their username and all that. i'm ignorant on most of the irc stuff so people with experience should help more. ------------------ www.gfa.org - Gospel for Asia www.persecution.com - Voice of the Martyrs |

Yes, I saw another thread here - but it was dated about 2 years ago. I'm assuming nothing has come of that, so the offer still stands  I was hoping to get more feedback than this though  I was considering Christian-IRC. Anyone else interested in a CCN IRC channel? It seems pointless to go through with this for the small number currently interested...so speak up |

ircnet has one at http://webchat.xs4all.nl/cgi-bin/ircnet/irc.cgi and the good thing is its not java based, and for html based works pretty well and nice. i'll make a point of being in #christiancoders for a few hours on IRCNET (use whatever IRC client you wish or that link above) ------------------ [This message has been edited by klumsy (edited October 14, 2004).] |

i went to ablazenet and got a room started there for ya all, got a biblebot there to keep it open thanks to the great people at ablazenet you can join using the java client with this link http://www.ablazenet.com/directchat.php?channel=Christiancoders once there you can type /register #christiancoders <password> to register your nick, so that i can give you some rights (though any guest can come in without a password and speak as they wish). if you would rather connect via your own irc client you can go to: (or use the info) also the cool admin of blazenet is installing CGI:IRC for me, which is a decent HTML based client so that people can use the chat without having to install any softwares or java client. see you there. ------------------ |
