i really like that signature too. unfortunately everything i use is for windows and i have no desire to spend another 8 years of my life getting use to know the in's and out's of another os. i'd go with a mac, but i'm too into overclocking anything i can. oh, and hi dude who knows mack! ------------------ |

I like the signature. Welcome to CCN. I am like BennyTheBear and don't have a great desire to learn a new os. I know enough about linux to run a text editor. I actually like the console mode better than the GUI's. [This message has been edited by HeardTheWord (edited September 12, 2004).] |

windows for those of us who support monopolizing the the software industy!!!! ------------------ |
bennythebear Member Posts: 1225 From: kentucky,usa Registered: 12-13-2003 |
if someone does succesfully monopolize the software industry than they must have a peice of software that is pretty good. or it's like i heard on a movie one time... a guy used to work at a restraunt, and they always stayed busy. but the food was nasty and greasy. so he asked his boss why he had so many customers all the time and the owner said, "it's like this, if you feed people slop day after day everntually they'll develop a taste for it."....just some food for thought there. I've got another saying I've had for a loooong loooong time ... "Microsoft Windows - A thirty-two bit extension and graphical shell to a sixteen bit patch to an eight bit operating system originally coded for a four bit microprocessor which was written by a two-bit company that can't stand one bit of competition." ------------------ |

i can't really dis windows since it's all i use. however with service pack 2 just released i'm starting to realize that they're starting to make their os for people who don't think, who want everything automated, out of site, and all that jazz. personally i like knowing what's going on, and having full control over it, or at least having the option to. like what's the point of being able to have a "secure", or spyware free computer if the company that made it won't leave you alone with their auto update crap??? anywho...just rambling now... ------------------ www.gfa.org - Gospel for Asia |
