Hello, I attend a small church and we're looking for some free software to track tithes/offerings. I googled for it and to my suprise I couldn't find any! Anybody know of one? Thanks, |

They're really wanting something that is easy to use and prints good reports. I could put together an MS Access DB for it but that would require the church to purchase Access which defeats the whole idea of finding one for free. I'm just amazed that someone hasn't put together an open source app for this. Anakrino |

It's not free or open source, but our church uses Quicken for this. The tracking is a snap and the reporting is fantastic. ------------------ |

Sounds like you are wanting this at the church level? Quicken or Quickbooks would probably work. If you want to solve this from each member of the congregation, get them all to sign up for autopay! I do this and the money is automatically pulled from my bank to the church's bank. Even when I'm on vacation! Ask your church's bank on how to set up Electronic File Transfers from the congregation member's accounts. God bless, ------------------ |

I believe SQL can hook up to OpenOffice.org as a datasource. OpenOffice.org has some database capabilities, but they're not very good. ------------------ Switch Mayhem now available! Get it here |

Hello, Just in case anyone finds this topic later I thought I'd post the only free tithe/offering tracking software I was able to find: http://kcbaptist.org/free_church_software.htm It is old (DOS based) but is supposed to work under all versions of Windows including XP. Haven't had a chance to try it out but for our tiny little church it sounds like it should work nicely. Thanks for the suggestions also! Anakrino |
