Just a little while ago, I've found out about his music and ministry. And I just wanted to say that it's quite incredible. What a man of God he was. I really like "Because of You" and "No One Believes in Me Anymore". "Asleep In the Light" is so touching too, and probably my favorite of them all. Are there anymore Keith Green fans here?

God Bless

Me! Me! Here are my favorite songs by him:

The Lord is my Shepherd
The Prodical Son Suite
No One Believes in me Anymore
The Sheep and the Goats
Oh Lord You're Beautiful
When I Hear the Praises Start
Easter Song

Most of his other songs are kinda... out of tune. But the lyrics are always good.

Heh, I agree with Caleb; he's somewhat of a generation ago musically (at least for us youngins) But his lyrics are really good, and he was an amazing example of God's love during his lifetime.

On the eve of my 18th birthday (about 15 years ago), I had my first taste of his music, while driving late at night on the way to my parents place where I'd have my party next day...And I fell asleep at the wheel... True story, thankfully the guy I was giving a lift to grabbed the steering wheel and woke me up! It was my own stupid fault, but the significance of the event put me off Keith Green music for a long time.

As I mellowed through the ages though, I have found his music to be incredibly moving and while not my preferred style, it definitely has 'something' about it.

Hey guys, sorry for the extremely late response.

imsold4christ:
Yeah those are some great selections there. Yeah I agree that some of his songs are out of style (for some folks at least, well most lol) but not me

BKewl:
Yep you are right, I drive people around here crazy playing Keith Green all day long, but they can't resist the message he had, which is expressed so powerfully and truthfully. Hey I'm not old, only 23 here.

AmazingJas:
That's quite an experience. I do admit that Keith's music doesn't seem like the type to listen to while in a car, but when it comes to praise and worship or even coding, I can listen to it all day lol. The lyrics are so awesome.

That said I've recently acquired a new (well old) Keith Green CD and I have some new favs.

How can the live without Jesus
The Victor
The Prodigal Son Suite
No One Believes In Me Anymore
Asleep In The Light
He'll Take Care Of The Rest
Dust To Dust
Dear John Letter (To The Devil)
Alter Call (Live Version)

I'll stop there, although I have many many more...

Hey there! Alright! An 80's guy!
Yeah you can learn a lot about his life and ministry here. http://www.lastdaysministries.com/keith/history.html There are also some nice samples there too!

This is where I buy most of his music from.
http://www.ChristianBook.com

Just to put it here, this is the first Keith Green CD I bought (actualy there are more samples here than on the LDM site.)

Enjoy!

EDIT: I'd encourage everyone to get his music through LDM as it supports the ministry there.
