this sounds like a good idea. but the problem would be finding someone you could trust. that is someone who would get down and pray with you, not judge or condemn you. porn's an addiction like any other addiction, like any other sin. you think about it. some people do just about anything for drugs, and some will do just about anything for sex. i believe sin is that addiction. if we could just remember to look to CHRIST when these temptations hit us, and if we walked in the SPIRIT as the word says, we wouldn't fulfill the lust of the flesh. well, i'll be praying for y'all, hope y'all be praying for me. i think stories are even worse for those who have a talented imagination, i dare not use the word good for that one. the only problem i would have with a filter is i'm afraid it would block something that actually wasn't bad. like block out some site like ebay because hidden somewhere in the auctions someone had something posted that triggered the filter. i'm paranoid, i know...but i can't really thing of a better example than ebay at the moment. the best thing to do is what JESUS said to do, cut it off. if your hand offends you cut it off, if you're eyes offend you pluck them out. it's better to enter into life halt or maimed than to be cast into hell completely whole. |
