Wow! Thanks for the link. Sounds like it's worth seeing. I've always liked Mel Gibson movies. Perhaps because he's a fellow Aussie? Interestingly, his first major film, a countryside teen flick from the late 70's was filmed in the small township that I was brought up in. What I don't like about Mel, is that the characters he has played have been such poor Christian role models, which doesn't really set well with me. Though apparently he does regret doing a few of them (including that teen flick). |

I want to see that movie! I'm a pretty big Mel Gibson fan (probably my fav actor) and I'm an infintely bigger Jesus fan. The movie looks very good. controversial? finally. and, sry Jas, but contrary to popular belief, Mel is from New York, not Austrailia. not saying he didn't live in Austrailia. |

because of my amazingly short attention span i didn't finish the whole review, but i do want to see the movie now. "controversial" in the world's words is a good thing. they don't consider fornication, or homosexuality controversial, but they do consider the truth controversial. anyways...hope GOD reaches some folks through this movie. |

Awesome, I can't wait to see this "controversial" movie. It sounds like it's pretty intense from reading that review! I hope that it reaches many people as well. ------------------ |

quote: Yeah, I remember that know that you mention it. I just did some googling and it turns out his family migrated when he was 12 and he lived here for 25 years, but maintained his US citizenship (I would have done the same I think). All his kids are Aussie citizens. |

I saw it and it has added to my faith. What a tremendous price paid on the Cross. Praise you Father for your Son who paid the price and died for my sins. Mel Gibson had to be directed by the Holy Spirit on this one. You will cringe, weep and will walk out with a new understanding of the price paid for you. I cannot type all the thoughts going on in my mind and heart. There's got to be more ways I can serve my Lord than I am doing now. I love Him so much, even more so now seeing a representation of the price paid for my sin. Father forgive me. ------------------ |

1 Peter 2:24 (AKJV): Who his own self bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live to righteousness: by whose stripes you were healed. After seeing this movie, you will definitely appreciate the price Jesus paid for those stripes!!
