Just discovered that my wife is with child. This will be number two. It's kinda funny though, because after trying for 3 years to get pregnant naturally, we had to go through IVF to get our firstborn, and then after only, eh hem, 'trying' for one month, we came up with a winner first go using the more traditional method..Who'da though that heh!

Congrats to you and the missus
Kids are often more entertaining than anything on TV, the big screen, or even games!
Have 3 myself, and I get a good laugh at least once every day

God bless you and your family and may you each grow daily in the Lord!

In the words of Redgreen 'Remember we're pulling for ya- we're all in this together' No really congrats. My wife is still piddling over the idea of our second child being our last. If we have a 3rd then we have to have a 4th she says. She dosnt want a middle child.

Keep up the good work

congrats on ya wife being up the duff (if you aren't australian like i think you are then my apology if i just offended you

we tried 3 1/2 years before getting pregnant with #1, going through all sort of surgery etc, fertility etc, but it was a good healing thing
after #1 we didn't know how long it would take to get pregnant again, so we didn't want to plan like a 2 year gap, then start trying and find it taking another 3 years - so anyway when our first - giusiana was 7 months my wife is up the duff with #2

children are a blessing from the Lord,
will be blessed with a quiver full according to scripture, just wondering how many is in a quiver.

Up the duff is appropriate over here, but I prefer the old 'buns in the oven' statement.

Thanks all for the fine encouragement. Cheers.

haha, I really have to visit Australia.

congrats on the kid! sometimes, they come when you least expect it. I have an uncle and aunt who were trying to have a kid for a while, and when my aunt was on some medicine(that prevented being pregenant), that's when she got a kid.

And don't take this the wrong way, but I'm a big supporter of the traditional method.lol

Don't be offended, but if it's a boy, we're unlikely to name it 'Roadkill'

congratulations Jas!!

having a family was the best thing that ever happened to me my friend

I hope you have the same happiness I enjoyed - deep joy

ArchAngel quoted your "up the duff" mission statements so I won't do it again, BTW if I tried saying that stuff I would get a frying pan over the head !! my missus is strange about such things

I laughed my head off, but females seem to take umbrage at such terminology, can't think why

Amazing Jas - any photos of the stork yet??

Seems pretty normal to me, it seems that the stress of having to succeed can impeed fertility. This happened with a former co-worker a few years back, IVF then boom, "traditional" success. Not quite the same, but my wife wasn't able to get pregnant until after she'd finished her degree and dissertation.

Congratulations on the extra blessing!
