i'm taking it you used that bug that allows you to display any site as any other site...so it just looks like microsoft.com. i think it's an active x thing?

well, maybe something like that. as far as I know, that's not the microsoft's page, and it seems to still be in CCN.

P.S. and contrary to popular belief, I didn't fall for it

its a bug in how IE deals with urls

http://www.microsoft.com%00@www.godcentric.com

(maybe the characters mightn't post here)
but anyway it won't show the actual url after those characters.

i for one am glad i never touch IE or windows, a browser which does this is so incomprehensibly stupid i cannot imagine why such a feature (bug?) (still) exists.

Dan

PS - I use epiphany and dillo on my gentoo linux box.

Gentoo rocks! i run that alongside my Slackware box. I on the other hand am glad to have once touched a windows box, it makes me appreciate Linux more!

te he he,
my computer being a humble W95 machine, I copied and pasted and couldn't see any joke.
It was only when I finally managed to get the link that the joke made sense. te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,te he he,

Anyway it was good fun and a great bit of knowledge. Cheers for the link!
