I am using DB Tool Manager to restore a message board data base but the database that is to be overwritten is not "giving way" the DB Tools manager gives an error pointing out that the tables sphbb already exist! YES I KNOW THAT and I want them overwritten by the ones I'm trying to load IN (the restore!!)

anybody tell me how I can get thsi sorted please?

but you might to drop the whole database, or all the tables.

playing with tables in that database is like dynamite for me

I dropped a few lines and then FOUR message boards went down

I reinstated the missing lines and they were BACK - oh boy, this is scary

I think I will back off very slowly and leave things exactly as they are
