Hi guys, I just finished a commentary called: Can Christians buy "Made in China"? This is part of what I'm setting up for promoting this issue, and it's too late for the shopping season as it was originally planned--I was too busy--but it's up for this year anyway! Feel free to comment or ask questions; I like them, and besides, it helps to make a better resource too in the long run.

quote: i wish i had time to do a full answer now. but its something that will take a decent effort. just to say for now that i've lived and worked in China, know lots of people there - christian and non christian (christians who ask that we don't pray for the persecution to stop), am quite in touch with mission stuff and the state of the church, have been involved in diplomatic relations in China, have trained with the Peoples Liberation Army, love China to bits, but left in secret at night under not so good circumstances. So i have a lot to say. ------------------ |

ahh.. the boycott. The power of the capitalist. boycotting chinese products isn't a bad idea. seems pretty hard to do tho, but, hmmm.... probably a better idea then nuking China. (Note: same message on the topic repeated...) |

I'm worried - will I be able to get a real career when I finish college, with all of our jobs being exported? This affects me at a personal level . As the main boycott page says (follow link at bottom of page), it affects them, us, and others. ------------------ |

well, hmmm, you'd think that not buy from china means more buying american products. who knows tho, economics has the tendency to take unexpected turns |

You know Karl, I sure wouldn't mind reading your autobiography if you ever got around to writing one. You seem to have a very interesting life. ------------------ |
