What was your best 1980s blockbuster movie? Back in the 1980s my kids had just been born. By 1987 my kids were 5 and 3 years of age, so naturally I enjoyed films that could be shown with the kids around The music written to go with it was superb and at the end of the film I had tears rolling down my face, the music more than anything was just so emotive

I assume you mean from the 80's decade, not just 1980 the year? I think "Empire Strikes Back" came out in the early eighties which was a fave of mine, Karate Kid was good, and all the Star Trek movies. In the late eighties, I'm embarrassed to admit, but I quite liked the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movie...There, I admitted it! |

I agree, Back to the future was pretty good. Incidentally, for Christmas, my wife is buying me the complete Battlestar Galactica series on DVD!! Yippee, I love that stuff! |

i liked back to the future and the ninja turtles both back in the day...of course i was born december the 28th of '84...so i was pretty young, prob'ly just remember the sequals...:-). my dad was born in 49, i'm the baby of the family. can i use that to excuse away my laziness and spoiled ways? guess not. the 80's contianed my favorite years, back when i was just a kid and innocent and nieve...oh how i miss those days! hehe Goonies is top class - I love that super kids film, great part where they find the sunken old ship in a cavern - sheer magic - the whole way through
