As many of you know I have been working on publishing my first book and the second is well in the works. I have been offerd one crudy contract and DAW Books dosnt think they can sell my book at the time. So that leaves me with sort of a clean slate.

Where to go now? Well I was wandering how many of you read fantacy/sci-fy? Are any of the books from Christian authers? Can you give me the name(s) of the books publisher(s)?

I am asking because I have found list and list of publishers. I would rather go for established ones at this point. Any help/comments would be welcomed.

k, I'm a big fan for Sci-Fi and Fantasy.
and I did read some christian Scifi and Fantasy.
there is Lord of the Rings, but I don't think you're looking in that direction..

hmm.. one christian sci-fi and fantasy author I read about is Stephen Lawhead. read his Empyrion books. published by Harper Prism and Zondervan.
There is the classic, This Present Darkness, by Peretti, published by Crossway books. and also, Tyndale published stuff like Left Behind.

sry, but that's all I can help for now on publishing...

Angel,
This may help you grab some attention of several Christian publishers:

Sounds like the ECPA.org site is the place to get your stuff looked at by many in the Christian publishing world.

God bless,
n

nfektious: Well that ECPA in my eyes is the last thing I want to try On the other hand the link to that publisher may come in handy. Thanks for the intel.

ArchAngel: That's a nice list. I will look into them.

On a bright note TOR Books is taking submissions I also have an agency im trying to work with right now.

Yes the Stephen Lawhead books were pretty impressive. What about skimming through the online catalogs of the Christian bookstores? I presume you've got some big ones over there in the USA, but I find my local one to be very comprehensive (www.koorong.com.au).

AmazingJas I'm not finding anything there that is like my book. Its a nicly lade out site though. I can understand why you like it

The big issue for me is that my book dosnt fall into the normal catigories. It has history (fictional), romance, epic battles, adventure- I mean the only thing that really can come close to my style is maybe an RPG games story line but thats a very ruff relation.

I may e-mail TOR directly and see if they could even think about acomdating a book such as mine.

Thanks for the link though

well, you know the Lord of the Rings has all those elements--and it is a classic---the greatest classics usually face the biggest struggles---someday you will be a millionaire dude---can I have an autographed copy someday ? goooooooooood luck!

I'm a fan of Star Wars/Star Trek Sci-fi stuff. If something's similar to those, I might read it.
