Well, Paladin Games is no more, because we are focusing more on web stuff and web games. This site here has been an inspiration in the sense that I want to make a Christian resource site. One with flash games for kids and adults alike, inspirationals, information, etc. Outside of that, we're going to make web sites and business applications for churches and small businesses. But the one thing I'm going to try and do is a "Haven" of sorts for us Christians.

I felt that it would be fitting for you guys to see my first design (this will mostly be done in flash and be media driven) since the place it was inspired from was these message boards and this site, but it is not functional at all at the moment. I'm hoping to have my site ready by March.

My questions are as follows:
What do you think about the site design of course, but also, what would you like to see in a "Haven" site?

Prayer chains are one thing I want to do. You can invite friends and the site will email prayer requests only from your group on a weekly basis to everyone in the group. This keeps out prank emails and spam. Users also can update prayer requests when God has answered prayer. The function just automates some things so we don't forget .

I will have links to many resources on the web as well as a list of inspirational emails, message boards, Read the Bible/or parts of the Bible in a year, etc.

I think there are a few sites that do this, but there's still not enough of them. Anyway, ideas for the site are appreciated as I gather all the requirements for what it's going to be.

Thanks in advance for comments and suggestions.

Very nice visuals. I'd love to see that in action

I think the ideas you have for the site are great. I would recommend linking to the good sites that are out there - especially if it saves you from reinventing the wheel.

Some suggestions for links:
www.christiancounterculture.com
www.antithesis.com
www.tedeum.com

I'm sure there are some more good links to add...

God bless,

The first to links may be a good idea. The last one is just a place I thought you may want to check out.

Oh and maybe a galliry of fellow maties would be a good idea.

I'm going to be starting on this probably middle of December. Thanks for the links. I will check those out and add those to my links page. I will have a "Gallery". This gallery can be my images or images sent to me from users.

"Family" will have pictures of friends and family and yearly events. I hope my father checks the site out often (please pray, he needs Jesus).

I may also have a public prayer list page. Where people can have EVERYONE that will pray, pray for them.

The "Read the Bible in a Year" will email registered users to remind them to read if they so choose.

The leaves in that pic will fade to green when the mouse over event occurs. Should be interesting.

It will be an ongoing maintenance site. I want to keep content current and it have updated content every day. It may take some time for it to be that frequent, but I can dream right ?

The fun section will contain mini flash games that adults and kids can play (I can't walk away from making games. It's too much fun!).

Am I missing any other services that might be benefical to Christians online? Thanks for the comments.

Hi Paladin, this will be a good site.

but I can dream right ?
You most certainly can, the world is full of successful dreamers. It would be a different place without them, if the dream is big enough the facts don't count.

I hope this site will be something all Christians can use. It won't be a cheap or easy thing at all, but I'm excited to do it. When it gets huge, I will probably have to do some advertising and ask for donations, but I can cover the cost of it for a good while.

I will keep you's guys up to date as the site is built.

Thanks for the links guys. I hope things are going well with you A. I'm doing a flash version of my breakout game online here soon too, then off to other games as well. Flash makes it sooo much easier to make games. And as 3D support increases, it should be viable for 3D games soon.
