I have kept most of my struggles to myself while I've been a member here, but now that I'm through some significant probs, I'd like to share some of my experience with you (it won't take long..)

I left my cushy government job, as a technical writer about a year ago. I did it for two reasons. Firstly, I was sick of writing about mundane financial software and government legislative changes to the superannuation industry: instead I wanted to have a crack at becoming a 3D modeller/animator. Secondly, my wife needed to return to work for a brief time, and so I decided that I might look after our toddler for a time.
Well, I struggled for about 6 months with becoming a Mr.Mom (I really need a magic toilet training wand right now!), and with developing my business, and in fact to this day, my lack of marketing skill, has limited my earnings to $0.00, though I did produce two good sample TV commercials.
So I realised that something was wrong, and I cried out to the Lord and asked for help, and I believe he came through. He revealed to me that I had allowed a couple of sins to sneak back into my life, that I needed a new church and a new career path. I decided to try and renew my faithfulness by removing the sins, and move where I believed he was directing me to. And so I am happy to announce that I just bagged the perfect job! I have been successful in gaining a position with the popular Australian computer game magazine: PC Powerplay, as a writer.
I still get to work from home (hence I will still be able to look after my kiddy wink), and also get to write in a genre that is also my number one hobby. Oh, and the Church we moved to is Awesome!
I'm pretty stoked, and just felt the need to share my happiness.
Cheers,
Jas.

Yes I do go to 3D Cafe for a bit of inspiration every now and then, it is a worthy site.

Had a great potty training day yesterday. Elijah (my bub) went almost all day without wetting his pants, and even did a 'number 2' in the right place (thanks to a chocolate bribe). Later I was letting him play in my pride and joy, hand-crafted timber sailing boat, when I heard the unmistakable pitter patter of yellow droplets...should have used more 'anti-fouling' I think
