I won a contest today. A hot dog eating contest. I managed to eat 43 hot dogs in 10 minutes. Nice to win and can definitely use the mall gift certificate for the kid's clothes, but I don't think I have had a stomach ache this bad since I was a kid and gorged after Halloween. :c(

I hate hotdogs. That's all I have to say.

Is that white or brown rice over there in Japan? I love white rice, but from what I hear, it's not really all that good for you. Brown rice is too gritty for me.

well, the difference between brown rice and white rice is that brown rice has an extra layer, which white rice has that layer taken off. Brown rice has more vitamins, minerals, and especially fiber, but is harder to digest. I usually eat a combination of white and brown rice.

Wow I have 1400 on my BC account and 650 on my old one.

Also white rice (japanese style anyways) is VERY good for you, the reason why all japanese have some muscle (even the geeks). Its high in carbos me thinks (or something thats good for you). So eat your rice with every meal.

oh, come on! Japanese and all asians are impossible bony. trust me, I'm half korean. I know what they look like. asians are also stuck with extrememly thin bones. (I hate my stupid wrists.. but I'm working out and I have big hands, so I'm happy)
Some are muscular, just cuz they work out.

But rice is good for you. one of the only foods that people are never allergic too, also. Me like my rice.

(I personally like smokies better if I do anything like that - although I don't mind the odd hot dog now and then)

Yeah, makes me want to sink my teeth into a nicely done smokey. However I already had my fill of red meat for the next while (I normally don't eat it very often) so maybe later on.

I thought this was a fun thread and I was without my log-in password when I originally read it, so here goes.

My questions:

Jamagica, are you OK now?

ArchAngel, do you speak Korean?

Psyco, have you tried 7-11, A & W, that kind of thing? And is there a local version of hot-doggish kind of thing there?

Mack, if you want hot dog with less red meat maybe you can try hot dogs made from turkey? -- I've tried 'em, tastes pretty good.

um, very little...
I know a decent deal of words, which come to my head when needed... including insults, etc. (they're insults are cool, you mix and match to create your own... I can get quite a list going...lol)
my knowledge of the grammar is unconsious, so I don't know any rules, but I have an idea how to say different stuff...
I forgot how to write, forgot the alphabet...

That's cool...I can speak a little Chinese, but not Korean. I have stopped in the newer Korean airport and love the noodle soup--but what they do after they finish their soup really got me!

I hope you are able to go there sometimes. I really like Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Thailand, etc.--the free countries of Asia. They need our prayers too, because they all have totalitarian neighbors.

BTW, if you have fast internet you can watch some TV from Korea or other countries at:

yeah, the noodle soup is pretty good.. so what do they do after the soup? are you talking about drinking the broth out of the bowls... or something else?
Korea's okay, I guess.. been a while since I was there... alot of anit-american sentiment around there, so that would piss me off... they're being lied to.. they have a bad image of us.

yeah, so sometimes when my korean grandma was over, I'd let her watch some korean sermons from the church se went to(um, it's supposed to be the biggest "church" in the world, whatever that is). thanks for the link tho...

Yeah, I'm talking about loudly slurping the broth from the bowl! Not a bad thing at all, but just surprising and it amused me.

Actually though, many Koreans are pro-US and they held some big demonstrations, but you may not hear about it because the major American media (which are anti-American) simply didn't report it. (They only report the other side.) Here you go:

http://wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=31050

The media have a lot of power--imagine, having two demonstrations and people only hear about one! Part of the fight for freedom is to keep those guys from messing with people's information and minds.
