This website is terrific. I've had it on my links page for about a year now. It is a simple online Christian game. Programmed entirely with HTML and JavaScript. Graphics are average quality - pretty good for web though. It's similar to pilgrim's progress, but not quite. It's a lot shorter than pilgrim's progress too.

If you haven't tried out this game, please do so NOW, because you won't ever get another chance to. Yep, they're shutting down the site. I recieved the following e-mail from them:

quote:

Hi,

Thanks for listing http://www.elyonsword.com on your
page

ElyonSword.com is going off-line for good on July 24,
2003.

Please remove any links to it.

Godspeed,
Richard

Bummer, eh? I'm gonna see if I can get ahold of one of those site downloading programs so I can keep it on my comp forever.

Richard gave me the game before it went off-line.

We are going to be implementing it on the Trinity Western University website where I am in charge of developing online community. I hope to have students work on it and have them think through what it means to write Biblical games.

I might be interested in going broader if there was some interest and I worked out the issues with Richard (the maker of the game)

I am new to this forum and hope to find some useful ideas here.

Chris,

That's awesome. When do you expect it to be back up and running on the new location?

For some strange reason, the site is still up, despite the e-mail I recieved, and despite the message on the front page of the site saying that it will go down on the 24th (5 days ago as of this posting). Do you have any idea why?

By the way, nice website you got there (http://www.authenticwalk.com).
