Well... I forget the title/artist at the moment, but there's always the one about the ranger with the big iron on his hip.

Actually, I always liked 'Children's Lullaby' by Vertical Horizon for it's story.

Well if I was going to give credit to the greatist storys told in songs. The awards would have to go to Keeth Green for songs like the Protical Son... and Saviour Machine for the songs like this one...
Gog: Kings of the North

Son of man, set they face against him, O Gog, O Gog.
I will put hooks into you jaws and bring you forth.
I will bring you forth and your armies to be devoured.
O Gog, O Gog.

O Gog, I am agianst you.
O Gog, Die in this truth.

I will summon every kind ot terror to cleanse the land.
I will send the fire upon your nation of coveting hands.
Gather for the sacrificial feast that I prepare
And you shall eat the flesh and drink the blood of all the dead.

O Gog, I am against you.
O Gog, I will avenge you.

I will pour my spirit on the house of Israel
So that all the nations may know me,
When, through you, O Gog,
I vindicate my holiness before your eyes,
Before their eyes.

O Israel, I will defend you.
O Israel, I will avenge you.

O Gog, walk on fire, walk on fire.

Come into the land that is brought back from the sword.
And they shall ascend upon her like a storm.
A cloud to cover the land,
The sound is over command.

The spoil is oil, the spoil is oil.

The tyrant needs within her walls,
And as she bleeds the cutain falls.

Kings of the North, King of the North.

Rising from his lusting eyes
She is brought forth to the slaughter.
Gold has turned to black at last,
She is the crucible of war.
Decifer what isn't real,
For a thief comes only to steal.

The spoil is oil, the spoil is oil.

The iron curtain steals and seals,
The final dream, the killing fields.

The killing fields, The killing fields.

Soungs that are right out of the Bible are normaly my favored. There are many others that I love to peaces. Still in the end the ones that give the truth plain and clear are the best in my eyes.

"My Deliverer" by DC Talk has a really great beginninig. It starts with Jesus, as a child in Egypt, listening to song the israelites used to sing when they were in captivity. I thought it was cool how they showed that Moses was a "type," a symbol, of Christ.

Youth of the Nation tells a decent story.

What's with "Gog"? is that supposed to be God, i'd understand if u made a typo once, but u did it a bunch of times.

THATS FUNNY MAN!

Gog was a god in the old testiment.

Ezekiel 39

1 Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: 2 And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel: 3 And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. 4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. 5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD. ... 18 Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan. 19 And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you. 20 Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD.

Thats some tidbits. I need to read the whole thing again sometime

Glad to be of help matie. Look up dragon and levithon sometime. Better yet go to the end of the book of Job. Its cool how God puts Job in his place. Go brags about how great His creation of the Dragon is. Note: some people think the translation should be allagator or some crud like that... I would rather go with the Dragon idea for now

Rez - Tears in the rain. The story is about a guy who chases stardom and loses sight of God as a result.

I have to say that I really don't care for this artist, but I really like this song:

"Free" - Steven Curtis Chapman.

He really does a good job of expressing God's grace and forgiveness of a prisioner condemned to die for his actions. The comparison of this prisioner and us in our own lives really made me think of our "prisions" and how we so desperately need God's grace.

Awesome song.

Gog, is both a god and a place.. it is a principality (spiritual demonic entity) over an area such as the 'prince of persia that was fought for 21 days to get a message to daniel). Gog is related to meschach and Tabul.. and is physically extreme North of Israel..
