I played the demo and thought it was ok. A friend of mine had the exact same idea to make a game from Pilgrim's Progress. I hope they send it soon. I'm looking forward to finishing the game.

Anyone else buy the game and play it all the way through?

I liked the demo, I'm interested in hearing your full report once you finish the game.

I don't know what the deal is with the demo, but his staff kinda just floats near his hands instead of being in it. It looks like there's an issue with the "Attachto" on the model. They said a major update is coming for it soon, so maybe that will fix it.

I'm really interested in what they used to make the game. It costs money to buy that engine, but it looks cool.

I think they used version 5, but the engine is up to version 6.

Interesting stuff...

Ok, I played the entire game. There are some issues, but overall, I really like the game and the Pilgrim's Progress message.

Technical Issues:
First off, let me say that I DID install the patch.

+) When you meet the prophet over the lava (after being chased by the boulder) and the screen is supposed to end, one time, it just turned black and I didn't go any further. I could hear myself moving around and shooting, but no image, text or next stage. I restarted the game and redid the stage and it worked the second time.

+) At one point, the erie music was playing at the same time other music was playing, even when I hit the gates of heaven, and this continued everytime after a particular stage. I'll have to go back and see where the double music starts.

+) Christian's staff is not actually in his hand, it just floats near his hand. The sword is fine however.

+) I'm not sure if this is technical or not, but after saving Faithful, I go to talk to him, and he doesn't say a word to me. He just stands there petrified.

The bad,

+) The models could probably be better. They remind me of the clay figures they used when Gumby was around.

+) I finished the game in one afternoon. Probably could have used more content.

+) There weren't enough Biblical questions. And, I sometimes would get the same question 2 times in a row.

The good
With all I've said about the game as far as bad and technical go, I still liked this game alot. As soon as I finished it, I started and finished again. The story itself was great and I enjoyed the mix of action and Biblical knowledge questions to gain faith. The story was good enough for me to play twice. My critiques are only in hopes that they can take a good game and make it great.

On a scale of 1 to 5, I give it a 3 due to technical issues and some of the downsides to the game. If the technical issues were fixed, I'd up that to 4 easily. I'm guessing their computer didn't do what mine did when they tested the game. If they added more content and questions, I'd easily up it to 5. Still a good game and a good witness. Great for the kids.
