have you seen a sad film ? one that left you...... "wondering" ? I saw "THE OTHERS" on TV for the first time.... it was made in 2001 and stars Nicole Kidman as the mother of 2 young kids 'during WWII' the young boy asks his mummy "When is daddy coming home?" she tells him "when the war is over" but I firmly believed that "daddy" was really dead and never coming home it was just that mummy could not bear to break the brutal truth but imagine my amazement when mummy is out in the fog surrounding their grand house, when she comes across the returning soldier dad "trying to find my home" explains the battered soldier, they both embrace in a very moving scene which nearly brought me to tears, but even then I was thinking "the son - the son, who was so looking forward to seeing his daddy" the moment was worth waiting for.... a short time later. the soldier daddy goes into the children's bedroom, where the kids are of course, tremendously overjoyed to see their long lost daddy, best scene OF THE FILM for me, I must be an old softy I just loved that anybody else seen a decent film lately?? ------------------ |

I thought X2 was lame. Nothing new, nothing different, just completely boring a predictable imo. Thought Phone Booth (With home-grown Colin Farrell) was pretty good. Matrix 2 will be kool, not sure about POD though. Glad they finally admitted there not a christian band though. --D-SIPL ------------------ |

My Fiance and I watched K-Pax yesterday (it being my second time), good flick. Shawshank Redemption, Les Miserables and Ever After are also good flicks. ------------------ |

never saw I Am Sam, but heard it was "tragic." I also like "Patriot." And, of course, "Lord of the Rings!" ------------------ |

POD said they're not Christian! When? |

POD, from what I know, doesn't want to be labelled as "Christian" and therefore be only listen to by closed Christian communities. ------------------ |

yeah... i that's what I thought P.O.D. sayed. They're not a CCM artist. I like to think of it as "salt and light." I mean, there is a place for music just for christians (e.g. Worship and praise music) When I hear them talk sometimes, it's pretty clear that P.O.D.'s christian. ------------------ |

Anyone who leaves you to guess that they are a christian either isn't, or isn't living appropriately. It's got nothing to do with how they look or sound, it's to do with their being in the public eye, yet we have to try to work out if they are Christian or not. If they are, why is it a secret ? Why aren't they shouting it out ? I've heard a few of their songs and liked them. But I don't recall anything vaguely Christian about their lyrics. |

you have a point, but it's a little different. say some guy is walking don't a street. I wouldn't be able to tell if he's christian or not cuz I don't know enough about it. But when your famous, that excuse seems to diminish. I always thought that P.O.D. was christian. The trinity sign, P.O.D. means "Payable on Death." Also, I think that christian lyrics don't always need to preach the gospel ans stuff, but fit the Christian worldview. But, as all of us do, they probably do have some issues. ------------------ |

infohttp://www.av1611.org/crock/pod.html is worth a look. Some of it is a bit petty but has a LOT of truths in it. I was skeptical, as i really like POD but after reading this and seeing them here in the UK PLAYING ALONG SIDE MARILYN MANSON, i have to say i felt quite angry. Anyways, make your own decison peeps. --D-SIPL ------------------ |

yeah... might be some truth. I saw alot of overemphasis and twisting of words. Loses credibility when they do it. Not everybody is perfect, and yes, of course, they have stuff to work out. ------------------ |
