from 17FEB, every car entering LONDON - must fork out £5 per day for the sheer pleasure of passing the city boundary, WOWSERS maties can this be right that each driver pays £5 to enter LONDON ? and there are plans just on the brink to repeat this across Britain for motorways like the M25, wonderful ? glad I've got my motorcycle (they're exempt !! ) ------------------ [This message has been edited by c h i e f y (edited February 09, 2003).] [This message has been edited by c h i e f y (edited February 09, 2003).] |

Well i work in Balham so it doesn't bother me. I'll be happy when they stop cars coming in. Then it makes it easier for me driving out of south london when i have to go by car! Ken Livingstone is a complete muppett though imo. --D-SIPL ------------------ |

£5 is a lot of cash for a toll. I'm glad it worked, but still. £5, that's what 7 USD (rough guess) ? ------------------ |
