from 17FEB, every car entering LONDON - must fork out £5 per day for the sheer pleasure of passing the city boundary, WOWSERS maties
toll booth crazy eh ??

can this be right that each driver pays £5 to enter LONDON ? and there are plans just on the brink to repeat this across Britain for motorways like the M25, wonderful ? glad I've got my motorcycle (they're exempt !! )

Well i work in Balham so it doesn't bother me. I'll be happy when they stop cars coming in. Then it makes it easier for me driving out of south london when i have to go by car!

Ken Livingstone is a complete muppett though imo.

the good news is that the congestion charging HAS reduced the clog substantially

traffic going through LONDON is dramatically less since this lot came in

the bad news is, as you cross the line at Hyde Park ..... it's £5 please !

M27, M3, A31 straight into Wandsworth, down to Balham, and no congestion charge

hehe lemme picture the scene, D-SIPL motoring up to Balham in his VW sciroco listening to HEART FM correct ? where the heck do you park up anyway? I have nowhere to park where I am! yellow lines in all directions so I come in by motorbike through the pedestrian gate and park the bike against a brick wall

£5 is a lot of cash for a toll.
I'm glad it worked, but still. £5, that's what 7 USD (rough guess) ?

Peugeot 106 GTi, music of choice Radio 1, if not listening to my cd's. Which is usually bands such as Placebo or InMe. So ner

I park at work, we have a car park.
