I think these "elitist" forums are ones that Krylay generously hosts for people so they don't have to use the freebie forum services.

It's not a lock-out, homer

Basically these are a group of people that are all working on a particular project. It's akin to me not being able to walk into Blizzard any time I want and go watch what they're doing.

If you want to get into that area, then you just need to be willing to become part of the team and contribute to the cause.

I saw it in the shop opposite where I work for £115

when I complained the staff said "It's a bargain cocker, normally £500"

and they weren't even joking! what gives ?

you where probly look @ visual studio..which has vb vfp vcpp and vjpp, if you just want vb get a learning edetion for like 30 bucks.
