Hi! I'm Ginger and I'm new to the Board and the industry. I wrote a post on my journey here from Full Sail. I am currently working for monkeystone games (www.monkeystone.com). I am getting as much experience and knowledge as I possibly can to bring into the Christian gaming industry. One day I would love to be able to make a game to bring many people to God, or at least plant the seed that thrives. I don't want to water down the christianity in my games as well. And, God willing, I will have my own Christian Gaming company soon. I welcome this challenge if it is God's will. Meanwhile, I'm working on paying off student loans and establishing myself in the industry. I'm praying I can bring positive press to our industry when the time is right. I have read through many strains and overall, I like you guys/girls! I look forward to talking with all of you. God bless you and be with you all. Welcome to the board, were glad to have your input on all things. I have a friend who is in the game industry making X-Box games and he says that there were only like 1 or 2 other Christians at his company, he leads my small group Bible Study. He's a serious Christian but hasn't really expressed an intrest in making Christian Games. I too am working to pay off my student loans, I hope to buy my freedom in a couple of years. Hopefuly these years can be the Lord's school for me to prepare me for future work. Love in Christ |

Hi and welcome!! I read your story, very neat. I came into game dev sort of the opposite way. Slowly learning things, editing games here and there, working on small projects. Now I'm seriously looking into developing games as a career. I'm mostly into modeling and level development (couldn't teach myself the intricacies of coding ;-). Too bad there isn't a game dev college in S.A. Texas... Anyway, it's great to have another Christian developer here. God bless ------------------ |

Thanks you guy! You all have made me feel very welcome! I love the complexity of code! I can see me sticking with this for a long time and not getting bored. Besides, making a game that speaks highly of God and Christianity while pulling in people of all faiths (or no faith at all) sounds like a challenge I will enjoy! And, not to mention, the payoffs for success will be very rewarding! Seeing all those people come to God and know true joy! I can see it in my mind's eye! It is beautiful. But, anyway... I will see you on the boards! ------------------ |

I know I'm a bit late, however, Welcome to the CCN! I've been here a while and it's a great place to meet people, talk about coding stuff (I don't code however, I'm a developer), games and general Christian discussion. |
