Is anyone interested in some good C++ tutorials being written for CCN? If so I could probably write some.... The tutorials would assume no experience in programming and would teach how to program in C++. Anyone interested?

I would atleast start off with dos programs. The reason is I think it's better for people to get used to the standard C++ stuff before they have the Win32 API or MFC thrown at them. Plus I'm not too good with Win32 API or MFC :-( I can write programs that are useful with both though. I mainly make games and that doesn't require the use of too much windows stuff except for when you make tools then it's easy stuff.... Eventually I would start covering windows programming(Either with Win32 of MFC). Probably MFC because I like C++ better..

Ok. I'll be kinda busy the next couple of days but after that I should be able to find time to start writing tutorials. I may be able to write some the next few days even though I will be busy....

Jesusfreak,
I'm nibbling too. If you can keep them as game-oriented as possible, that will keep our interest level higher!
Thanks for sharing your talents!

I haven't started writing any tutorials yet but if all goes well I should start within the next 3 days.... I did manage to find a C++ compiler + IDE for those who don't have one though. Visual C++ is my tool of choice though. I thought writting some code for the console would be pretty easy but I'm slowly realizing that I haven't used some of the console text functions in a really long time.... I'll probably spend the first tutorials on the basics and slowly making a console based phone book. Then a few tutorials converting it to Win32 or MFC. I haven't decided which one. Then I'll probably start heading into the world of Direct X and Games. Of course something may come up to delay my writing of the tutorials....

I have some problems with the Compiler + IDE I downloaded. It crashes alot on me and the C/C++ libraries that came with it... I noticed one function doesn't do what it is supposed to do. Or atleast what it does in VC++(and I believe Borland)
