Good Question. Naturally it would be best if the game can have different level settings so it can make use of whatever horsepower is in the computer. I think it is good to aim for the average. Revelator! ------------------ |

Any plans to support PS2 (xbox, gamecube, Atari Cheetah )? For games specifically marketed to Christians (and assuming NO secular release), you really need to water down the requirements for a PC. It seems that the "general" Christian market is way behind the curve on new machines. That may change since the price for the PC is plummeting. I wish Christians would let God do more blessing so there could be better machines (that could in turn be used to glorify His Kingdom). For games targetting both secular and Christian markets, the PC can be more powerful. Revelator's response is excellent. Just modify based on when you think your game will ship. -Tim |

Thanks for the responces guys, this isn't for Revelation (we've already chosen the min. sys. for that), just general discussion. We're considering porting into the Linux and Mac OS's after the main release, before making any leaps into the console arena. |

I reckon you can count on more than 4mb video memory. It would be impossible to write something that looked cool on a GeForce and even ran on 4mb. A lot of games quote 8mb as a minimum. |

With computer parts dropping in price, I think everyone should go out and max out thier board on RAM or pick up a motherboard over 400mhz. |
