I'm still exploring a variety of ideas on how to best make use of my "Christian.net" domain name (ideas include a Christian Yahoo style service with free email/web, a portal site, an umbrella for other Christian web projects, a resource site for Sunday School teachers, etc).

I'm still open to other ideas and suggestions as well. I'm trying to get a group of local folks together for a think tank session or two. Please pray for us.

In the meantime I've allocated a nice new server exclusively for the project (whatever it finally turns ot to be): 1,300 MHz Athalon with 512 megs of RAM and 50 gigs of disk space running unix and all the most recent versions of Apache, PHP, Perl, etc. It should really rock when it actually has something to do :-)

Where in Canada are you? I'd be interested in attending that think tank session if not too far out of my way (I'm in Edmonton, but can travel some).

Also, I have a unique scripture project that will eventually need a good web server to host it. It will be at least a year before I really need to start thinking about web-enabling it, and maybe I'll be approaching you about specifics later.

I'm on Vancouver Island, about as far west from Edmonton as I could be without getting my feet wet.

I'm coming to Calgary in July though. We visit my wife's sister there every summer. Last year we went through Jasper and Edmonton but this year we're probably going through Banff instead. We'll be there during Stampede week this time (yee-haw!).

I'd be interested to hear more about your project, but I understand completely if you want to keep it hush-hush.
