Maybe you should post a link or something (for the lazy/google-disabled persons, I didn't had trouble finding what that is) [This message has been edited by Calin (edited February 27, 2007).] |

i couldn't post a link as i read it from books24x7 (requires login). Anyways, its a Java-based library that is apparently used for P2P software. I'm working on (yet another) project idea that could make use of this if it's decent enough and well supported. So i was just wondering if anyone has any insight on it from experience or hearing about it through the grapevine. EDIT: JXTA has a wiki page. apparently it's a huge thing that allows content sharing, audio/video conferencing, etc. so i'm thinking if i can find a decent enough source, this could be fairly useful to my project... i'm working on a design for a networked learning platform and community, which i'm now targeting a christian audience with. it's a very long story (i have a draft proposal) but bottom line: i'd need stable network support for connecting users and transmitting modules/data. i spent yesterday checking JXTA out and it's pretty complicated ![]() |

that sounds cool. I was just curious. Anyways, I know what you mean. Normally what I do when I'm up against a tough spec that seems impossible to implement. Check sf.net for a wrapper project. A quick dig produced PADL. Its a v0.1 but it could springboard your design. God Bless! ------------------ |

that looks so flippin awesome. If I knew Java, and had time to program at all, I would so mess around with that. like, all the time. must bookmark this for when I take that Java class year after next.. ------------------ |
