Requires a free signup, but they don't bug you and it's worth it.

Wow that was a great read, it has certainly opened my eyes to some things.

Sorry for dragging up an old topic, but I was curious to see what others thought of the interview and the views expressed within.

Hey!

Great read! Thanks for "dragging out" that old topic -- I would have missed it otherwise.

I really believe in Christian video game development, and reading your interview was quite inspiring.

I especially appreciated your comment:

quote:
I believe that one of the largest issues facing the Christian game industry is the fragmentation of the talent pool, since everyone seems to want to develop their own little pet project. At this point the industry realistically cannot support that. So I set about looking for a solid Christian game developer that seemed to have a good track record. I submitted my resume to TGS and was immediately accepted.

That's a lot of the problems that I'm running into.

Perhaps that's what I should do.

Do you think there are many Christian game development companies out there that would be hiring

Paying jobs? Not many as of now. The only one I'm certain of is this:

quote:
Micro Forte is putting plans together to establish a world-class development team to produce and develop a Christian game for a new franchise for the PC/X-Box and PS2, based out of Sydney, Australia.

We are looking for expressions of interest from: Christian game designers (ideally at least one game christian or secular has shipped), Lead Artist & Senior Programmers.

We can provide further information under an NDA. If you wish to know more, please send your email and resume to John De Margheriti at johndem@microforte.com

Can't give any details but TGS "might" be able to start offering paid positions as soon as late summer, early fall.
