Hi every one. Wouldn't it be good to discuss and share know ways to represent the Gospel via game to some person?
I would love to share ideas of what I have seen good ways for doing this. Now I did not use too simple topic for this thread because I was hoping we could avoid most of current terms to avoid assumptions. And this isnt really about witnessing because for me witnessing is to speak to another person and it's personal. And of course only Jesus can save and He can do that through us showing God's love.

Now that the foreword is said let's talk about ways to tell people about Jesus using a game!
Please share your ideas or pray for those. We can even pray for each other for those ideas and vision and also ask for wisdom (skill) to make them come true.
Ok to the ideas already.

One way to get the player introduced to God would be creating a game world where some one righteus mourns for the injustice happening around him.
When player talks to him and asks what's the matter he will hear about this but the so called righteus man does not know what is the matter with the people. He only knows one wise man who once lived in the town before he moved away and ge believes he has the answer. So player is challanged to seek out this wise man and who will then tell the player, when he is found, that's its the ungodliness of the people why things are the way they are.
So the player would have been introduced to basic concept of how sin seperates men from God.
Then perhaps he would learn that it's God's patiance in His love that draws men to repentance. And when he is left with the question what comes next or after or before repentance he will have to seek out the answer and find out what Jesus Christ has done and how they can all turn to God and be forgiven. Then when you give the player the quest to go and bring this message to the people he should become well familiar with the Gospel him self, believer or not.
What is important is not to forget Bible references which alone tells the player that this message is true and accepting Jesus as saviour by giving life to Him is a real question for him (the player.

So that's just one good way in my opinion. I hope that I was able to represent this well with the example?

God bless.

There was a fantastic talk about this kind of subject at this year's CGDC. It was given by Peter Churness, and the topic was Communicating Reality through Fantasy.

I tried to record it, but halfway through I realized that I must not have hit the button, and missed the whole first half (which was the best part). It was video recorded, and I think at least one other person has a audio recording (though he said that his version was very poor quality) -- I'll try to get a source for the talk, and post a link here. It was superb.

In the meantime, one can check out some of the notes that people posted about it, over on the GameACE forums.
