No, this is not about amnesia; it's about a praise song that I have written in the past few days. I just completed a sort of roughing out of a melody for it and decided to put that out there to see what people think. The link is to an OGG-Vorbis file, so prepare accordingly. Oh, and critiques on voice are fair play. ![]() ------------------ "...prayer itself is an art which only the Holy Ghost can teach us. He is the giver of all prayer. Pray for prayer---pray till you can pray; pray to be helped to pray, and give not up praying because you cannot pray, for it is when you think you cannot pray that you are most praying. Sometimes when you have no sort of comfort in your supplications, it is then that your heart---all broken and cast down---is really wrestling and truly prevailing with the Most High." |

So, is it that good or that bad that nobody's saying anything? ![]() ------------------ "...prayer itself is an art which only the Holy Ghost can teach us. He is the giver of all prayer. Odd. CCN doesn't like apostraphes, but accepts question marks in the Thread Title. Kudos on using OGG, btw. Interesting song. From a financial point of view, you might want to copyright it and try to get some music band to play it. Then you could get royalties off of it (yes I think the lyrics are good enough for that). Listening to the words, I like the way the lyrics are something of a confession, and yet they praise God for all he's done for you. ------------------ "Oh, bother," said the Borg. "We've assimilated Pooh." "Socialism works great... if there are no people involved." -- Pastor David Ginter, Union Church of Guatemala. |

Good song, good question. "What is a man that you are mindful of Him?" I just today did some verse search on that and God sure loves us. So that He forgives us and makes us new. Thank you Jesus. The name of the song reminded me about who God is though. "I am". ------------------ [VoHW] (Help needed) [Blog] - Truedisciple (mp3) |

I'll have to talk to our church's worship leader. Maybe a sort of demo recording could be done by the church's praise band. ------------------ "...prayer itself is an art which only the Holy Ghost can teach us. He is the giver of all prayer. Just lyrics and a melody. Time to play? ------------------ "...prayer itself is an art which only the Holy Ghost can teach us. He is the giver of all prayer. Rip it to a CD or something then put that in an envelope and mail it to yourself--then DON'T OPEN IT!! That is called poor-man-copyrighting-----as long as it is sealed the post-date on it is court-worthy proof you had the ideas within before a certain day---easy way to cover your tail and make sure someone doesn't hurt you when you go to get benefit off of your work ![]() ------------------ |

I agree not bad, but you have to get some music behind it. If you want PM me and I can give you some ideas. If you have the notes written the rest is simple. I am personally about 95% done with my CD project, it will be available to purchase and possibly also on I tunes if I can figure the whole AAC thing out. Still a neat song |
