In a few hours I get to pick up MotorStorm! Yay my technically second PS3 game (I don't count flOw because it was a download game--although it is cool...)! Does anyone else here yet have a PS3? It would be sweet to meet up online and do one of those midnight-with-no-headlights races mwahahahah! Josh ------------------ |

Lucky, I only gots the 360... (Only cause my Xbox and some games got stolen, and then I used the insurance money to buy the 360 (and ONLY the 360)...) No offense meant Zookey, but I will never get the PS3. I've never liked the Play Station systems/games, and I won't start soon. Please nobody take offense. RM ------------------

Reasons to get a PS3: You can install Linux on it and replace your desktop computer with it. I wish I could get one without bluray though.. you know.. just as a statement. That would be great... ------------------ |

RM---don't worry dude everyone has their own tastes Sorry, I didn't know I could dictate what forums this topic went into--I just went into a random discussion on the front page and clicked 'new topic'---either way tho MotorStorm is awesome---I am having a blast hehe! ------------------ |

Reasons NOT to get a PS3: Get a Mac and install Mac OS X on it. ------------------ I reserve the full right to change my views/theories at any time. |

quote: RM, I don't have any Playstations, but nonetheless, I take serious offence to what you said. Haha jk. I won't get a PS3 because of the price (which could change), but most of all, I am really picky on my console games, and so PS3 has been less of what I want, and I am even having 2nd thoughts on getting a Wii because it's future game variety looks bleak. |

what kind of console games are you into? I am kinda weird too--although I am a hardcore console gamer and PC gaming is a very distant second (the only PC game I got addicted to was Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 because I could build and ride the rides--which I do now in ThrillVille on PSP--although the PSP version doesn't have nearly as much content it has more character though)---I have been steadily getting into First Person Shooters more (been glued to Resistance for a while) and MotorStorm is the first non-Wipeout non-Mario Kart racing game to severely catch my attention---usually realistic racing games (ok, ok MotorStorm isn't realistic, but it is the closest to realistic I have ever played) totally turn me off---I like flights of fancy where you can do amazing things---which is also why I think 'realistic' fighting games (such as Virtua Fighter 5) kinda suck---why make a game that only mimics reality for the most part? Why not take one that takes reality and twists it into an insane, yet good looking and fun to play, fantasy? Actually, that is one reason I can't wait to show more of Shattered Soul to you all---we are aiming at combining the magic the old 2D fighters (especially Street Fighter and Guilty Gear) with the new technology of 3D fighters to create a truly sublime game---I wish more companies would do that (I know SNK dabbles with it a bit, but they havent done anything major yet from what I know). ------------------ |

i had a psp and then i sold it. i didnt enjoy it very much. it had good graphics and all, but my it wasnt very comfortable. my thumbs hurt every time i played.. and the loading times were awful. sony really needs to work on their loading issues. ------------------ |

newer games load much more quickly----glad that they fixed it as far as I am concerned because the early games did suck on that front royally---with the cramping unfortunately still happens--LOL my hands hurt royally when I played Ratchet and Clank for a few hours. ------------------ |
