I've been having some chats with a Muslim colleague lately, and he was asking what evidence there was that Jesus was any different from any of the other prophets - did he REALLY say anything that pushes us to claim he is God himself? I haven't had time to do a full response, but I came up with this for starters: Comments or suggestions welcome. ------------------ |

In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God and the word was just some dude walking the streets. No, wait, the word was God (John 1:1), and even more, the word became flesh and made his dwelling among us (John 1:14). So, yeah, you're on the right track. IMHO the Bible is very clear on this issue. I really don't see how else they could interpret John 1. ------------------ [This message has been edited by CobraA1 (edited January 23, 2007).] |

Firstly here's a thread about this. http://www.christiancoders.com/cgi-bin/ubb-cgi/postdisplay.cgi?forum=Forum9&topic=000261 by me. Also, I don't see how you could call a man who said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man gets to the Father except by Me." could be anything except, liar, lord, or lunatic. ------------------ |
