Okay the Bible says that we have "free will". Right? Okay well it also says that people should not be "gay". Well what do you do if you are?

-----------
Does that mean that if people like the same sex that they will go to hell?
-----------

Does it mean that if you are gay that you should lie to yourself and be straight? I do not know and I am very confused on that topic.

oh wow, we had a humongous talk about this a while ago.

Well, it is a very confusing topic.

1. You should not sin.
2. The bible forbids homosexuality.
3. Living everyday (if you are Christian) knowing that who you are and how you live is a "sin".
4. if you try to be someone who you are not, than you are not being what God made you to be.
4.b- OK, before you attack that, some people believe that being gay is a choice, some believe that you are born that way. I do not have the answer, I know some people are born with testosterone problems, or genetic problems that make them male with a female mind, or vice versa. That, I suppose you could be whichever you feel more comfortable with and not be "sinning" .

To be honest, all I can do is tell you what I think and believe. I have a couple friends that are gay, and they are also Christian. I believe that I will see them in Heaven. Simply because they have an alternative lifestyle, I mean, shouldn't keep them from Heaven. They are very respectable people and I have a high opinion of them. Sure, its a little creepy what they "do", but it shouldn't keep them from Heaven.

Sorry if I've confused you or if people think I'm wrong. Maybe someone can enlighten us.

I think the Bible refers to homosexual thoughts and actions, both which can be conciously controlled, and therefore both which we are responsible for.

I think that homosexuality, at least in its eternal consequences, can be compared to other sexual sins. It isn't a sin to be tempted and being human we may sometimes fall.. however, we have to make a choice of allegience.. are you allied to God and thus are going to live as he directs, or are you allied to yourself and your sexual prefrences. An adulterer can be saved, but a christian can not continue to choose adultery as a lifestyle. Eventually everyone has to choose am I going to conform my life to Christ, or am I going to conform my life to my own desires. Which one you choose determines your eternal destiny.
